About Me

Hi, I’m Elise!  2012 was a big year for me.  I married my high school sweetheart, graduated college, we settled into our first real apartment, and I began my first real job search!  Having some down time gave me an opportunity to spend more time in the kitchen, which has led me to truly unlock my passion for food!  The only downfall?  It is way too hard to maintain and organize all of the recipes I experiment with.  For that reason, this blog was born.  I have found a space where I can organize all of my recipes, share them with the like-minded, and meet lots of amazing people!  Even though I’m working (a lot!) now, I try to spend my free time baking yummy treats or dreaming up new recipes to try!

  1. It’s so funny that you say you can never keep track of your recipes! My boyfriend is forever after me to save the recipes I use and write down the changes I make! I’m looking forward to checking out your blog!

  3. Hi Elise,

Apologies for sending you a message via here, I can’t work out any other way! I will be moving to wordpress.org soon, so please do follow me when I move! Thank you for all your support :-)

    • Thanks for letting me know, Joy! That’s very exciting about your move and I will certainly follow you as soon as you do! I have been wanting to take that step myself, but I haven’t gotten around to it (or researched it much) yet. I’ve also been brainstorming new blog names for when that time does come. :) Hopefully I’ll be following you to wordpress.org soon!

  4. I’ve recently switched my food blog over to be self-hosted which I hope will make it more user-friendly in the future. As a result, if you were following Can’t Stay Out of the Kitchen via email, WordPress, or using RSS feeds through Google Reader or some other way, you are no longer subscribed. If you wish to continue receiving future posts from my blog you will need to re-subscribe. Sorry for the inconvenience, Teresa.
P.S. I’d like to sign up via RSS feed to get your amazing recipes on my Google Reader but your RSS link doesn’t work.

  5. Hi Elsie,

Thank you so much for following me. I’m relatively new to this blogging thing so new followers and likes are so encouraging :) For some reason, my wordpress keeps unfollowing your blog but I want to assure you I am a follower and I’m looking forward to reading your posts. Your photography is amazing! I would love it if you could share some tips. Possible post idea?

All the best and keep up the baking! 😀
